Does it even make a difference? the two monitors I'm looking at both have the same resolution but one is 16:9 and the other is 16:10 I use the computer mostly for web browsing and gaming.

Thanks

uh, that's not possible. the ratios talk about the ratio between the number of vertical pixels and the number of horizontal pictures. they aren't the same resolution.

16x10 is better suited for computer tasks and for games. Many games are still made with 4:3 in mind and then are adopted for other ratios. Because of it usually 16:9 is visually worse. For example, in most RTS, that have controls at the bottom, those control take so much space on 16:9, that you can see only very narrow strip of the actual field.

But in any case, those two monitors are 16:10. They both good. (I have one of those)
