1600€ Gaming build. Would you change anything listed?

Hi,

I'm going to make a new PC build and I would like to obtain feedback regarding my component choices.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 3;
CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K 3.7GHz;
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO SSD M.2 NVMe 250GB;
HDD: Already have one;
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 750w 80PLUS Gold;
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Red DDR4 2x8GB 3000MHz;
Graphics card: MSI GTX 1070 Ti AERO 8GB GDDR5;
CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi RGB;
Case: Corsair Carbide Series Clear 400C.

Total (Europe): 1552€ ($1454 from pcpartpicker). My budget limit would sit around 1600€.

I do pretend to OC in the next years when I feel the need to keep up with my needs.

Looks good to me. Nice build!

H7 won’t cut it when you go to overclock. The H5 is barely enough for 4.7 on all cores at 1.25v. At least with my sample size of... 1.

Thank you for both replys! J_E_D_70, I will take it into account, but for now I'm not into overkill stuff like a Kraken, which would be more for looks than cooling. In the future maybe I'll change my cooler.

I have another question...since I pretend to OC, is the motherboard good for it? I read in a lot of places that this board (Gigabyte ones, be it gaming 3, 5, 7) tend to heat up a lot in VRM when OC.

Would this be a problem? If so, do you guys recommend a stable mobo?

Obvious answer: if it DOES heat up, it will be a problem. And I would recommend a stable MB(as opposed to an unstable one!)

Get the cryorig h5 , it's a similar price & will drop 10c off temps.

Board ? Wouldn't buy the gigabyte

Asrock extreme 4 or msi pro carbon are good mid range overclocking boards with better vrm setups.

You don't need a 750w Psu, a 650w will still give you close,to 300w headroom

I have no personal experience with Gigabyte motherboards. I am currently running an I5-2500K @4.4GHz on an Asrock extreme, and have been for years, 24/7/365 with absolutely no issues, So I would second madmatt30's recommendation.

Based on them, I'll change my mobo to a Asrock 370 extreme 4 and a Cryorig H5 instead of the H7.
