The build looks pretty good. The PSU is overkill, though. This one would still easily power the system and save some $.

CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139009&Tpk=850tx $124.99 - $30 MIR

That DFI board also seems to have a pretty high DOA rate. I would rather get this motherboard in a combo for even cheaper:

ASUS P6T LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131359

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.213700 $479.98 (CPU + motherboard combo)

Also agree on the P6T or P6T v2 Deluxe.

You should also get this PSU Power Extension cable. You will need it when going with a Bottom mounted PSU.

1ST PC CORP. 12" 8-pin EPS extension cable Model CB-8M-8F $7.99

Also you should check out the Combo deals NewEgg has for the P6T, like the example below.

Dont tell me you are spending 1600 dollars on a system and putting a 7200rpm hard drive into it. If you have the budget get either a 10k or 15k rpm HDD or an SSD.
-and the asus that shortstuff recommended as your mobo is good, i'd go with that one
-Other then that looks pretty good

thank you for all the great responses!! I'm changing me PSU to the CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W and the motherboard to the ASUS P6T. I would like to get a fast hard drive but I'm not sure that I have the budget for it 🙁 I'm going to see about it though.

Thanks again for all the awesome replies!
