Hi, I Just upgraded my Ram,
I had 2x 4GB ram before, i bought 2 more same modal ,
now i hv 4x 4gb Kingston

My Old ram was running on 800Mhz and XMP profile was On,
Now after i upgraded my ram, my old 2 rams are still running on 800,
but new rams are running on 667Mhz,
And also in CPU-Z Its even showing that part No are different,
here is my screenshot of cpu-z for all 4 sticks,
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dffyg54kusvx7wa/Untitled11.jpg?dl=0
I tried changing System memory multiplier to 1600, but that didnt work,

is there smthing wrong here, and why is it showing diffrent part no,

My spacs are
Motherboard - Gig z87M-D3H
Memory - Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1/4G HyperX Blu 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 X 2, Total 8GB. ( which is now 16 GB)
Intel i5 4440
G card - Zotac Nvidia GT 730 2 GB,

XMP is enabled already, and i cant change it, its faded, i cant click on it, but its maybe working only on 2 old sticks,

It's possible the new set is only 1333 memory. Did you check the packaging and also print on the memory?

Part number: http://www.memorybenchmark.net/ram.php?ram=Kingston+99U5403-050.A00LF+4GB

If for some reason they are 1600 and CPUz is getting the part number wrong, try the two new sticks on their own.

XMP should be setting the correct speeds so it does look like they are not 1600. Could try manually overclocking them, they could be stable.

Well packeging and on memory, i see 1600 written,
KHX1600C9D3B1/4G - it was the model no on my old sticks, and this is wat i ordered now, On new stick i can see KHX1600C9D3B1/4G written,
m gonna try with only 2 new sticks now..

And is it possible that with this no- KHX1600C9D3B1/4G, there can be 2 different models?

In model no, khx1600c9___
This 1600 means 1600 mhz?
I did not hv any packaging n bill of my last ram, so i read model no on my stick,

But My new ram's packaging definitely says 1600,

If m running my pc with old sticks, i can use xmp profile thing, but whn m using all 4 together, or even 2 new alone, xmp feature is disabled and i cant use it, what does it mean?

Can think of XMP like an internal profile that is inside the memory and it tells the bios how far to overclock it.

It's either XMP (oc for dummies) or set the values manually such as frequency, timings and voltages.

Since the new set of memory doesn't have an XMP profile (Doesn't look like it) seems to me they're 1333MHz memory with incorrect labels. 1333MHz doesn't need XMP as 1333 is usually a native frequency.

I m getting more confused now, i m using my pc now with only old 2 rams, which by default is running at 1367mhz(without xmp)
Last time i enabled xmp Dram frequancy changed from 666 to almost 800, which means 1600 for duel,
but now whn i m enabling xmp, its doin nothing, so now my old sticks running at 1367 even with xmp enabled.
did i do smthing wrong?
heres the screenshot of bios with new sticks and old sticks, if that helps,

So should i return these new sticks? as i see in front of system memory multiplier it says 13, which i assume means its 1300 mhz,

Unfortunately these were the only 2 sticks i could find matching to my model no, -_-,
And how can i be sure to find same sticks next time?
coz last time all i could find to match is model no, which is same in these 2 sticks,

Those 1333 sticks have incorrect labels on them im sure of it and should be exchange with the correct memory modules next time having the same model number.

Your welcome. Most unfortunate.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104261 should be your old ones

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104238 are 1333 variant

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139046 and this is what CPUz is reporting the new sticks to be.

I'm guessing the new memory had the same blue heat spreaders as your original memory? 1333MHz version has the same but why would they put that on completely different ram. New employee maybe lol.

I hv no idea why would it say 1600 whn its 1300,
Anyways m thinking bout bying 2x 8gb now.
It feels so confusing and my old model seems lile outdated as i cant find matching stick easily.
I think its jus better to go for 2x 8gb hyperx fury

The sticks probably are 1600 but there may be many reasons why it is being displayed as 1300

i will ask someone who knows more about ram to visit this thread and help you
