Hello everyone. I have 1x8gb of corsair vengeance LP ram, which is supposed to run at 1600mhz. When i go into my motherboards BIOS, it says the ram is running at 1200 or something like that, and in windows 8's task manager its says 1066. I have no idea why this is happening. Im pretty new to building and maintaining PCs, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Solution
Start or restart your computer and boot to your BIOS (hit "DEL" key while it's posting). Select the "AI Tweaker" menu tab. Change the Ai Overclock Tuner setting from "Auto" to "D.O.C.P." (DRAM OC Profile - we called it XMP, but that's for Intel boards not AMD). It should then give you a setting option labeled DRAM OC Profile - click on this and select 1600. Then hit the Exit button in the top right corner of the screen. Then hit "save changes and exit".
