Question 1600mhz ram runs at 1333mhz

I have i7-2600k gtx 750 ti and 16gb ram 1600mhz, but it runs at 1333 and when i try to switch it to 1600mhz in bios it doesnt work and asks to switch back. I have h61m-e motherboard. So whats the problem? I used to run single channel 1600mhz 4gb ram on the same motherboard and i3-3220 cpu.

1333 is the fastest memory supported by the 2nd gen Intel series.
