i am looking for a new monitor. I have an X800pro and I was wondering how important it is to have a monitor that has a max resolution higher than 1280x1024. if its very important please tell me any monitors that are 17" and are capable of higher resolutions

Current Spec: AMD Athlon XP2000+, GeForce4 MX440, 256MB DDR, aOpen Mobo.

I doubt you'll ever use anything higher than 1280x1024 on a 17" monitor. What monitors are you considering?

I've just been browsing around looking for 17" monitors Nothing in particular but i have come across a few that are capable of 1600x1200. i was just wondering now if anyone knew of any that were particularily good. the reason im looking for 17" is cuz im on a tight budget and theres a large gap from 17" to 19"
