164-memory size error?

Hello guys i had some RAM memory that i didn't use so i thought that i just use them in the new computer i bought the other day.. Here is the specs of my computer

HP Compaq Elite 8200 SFF
- CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 3,1 Ghz
- Ram: 4GB 1x4GB
- HDD: 1TB
- PSU :240W
- MSI Nvidia Gt730 Graphics Card (1 GB) The link for the card

Anyway i started with only 4GB and i do know that i only have 240W PSU and will limit everything i add and do..

Each is 2GB RAM
I started with 2 of these RAM (Lets call them HP RAM)

And i have 3 of these that i haven't used in a while (And lets call them Corsair RAM):

So what i did at first was to remove 1 of HP RAM and replace it with 2 Corsair RAM...
With that i had 1x HP RAM and 2x Corsair RAM = 6GB

And it worked great!

However since i had 1 Corsair RAM left, i added that too which gives me 1x HP RAM and 3x Corsair RAM = 8GB

Now my issue is that when i added that last RAM i got this message popping up when i booted my computer:

I press F1: Boot and it worked and now when i restart my computer that message doesn't appear anymore... But since that message popped up, should i remove that last RAM i added and use 6GB RAM instead of 8GB?
Or is there some kind of test i can do, to make sure it worked properly?

When it comes to HP system or motherboards of Hp branded computers they can be funny on how much ram they can physically access even if you have up to four memory slots for memory on the motherboard.

The first thing to look for when you get a memory size mapping error.
Is an option in the bios for memory hole remapping Naxster the option in the bios for the motherboard needs to be enabled to avoid in some cases the 164 memory error message.

You should still check though what the maximum total size of memory the motherboard can see, address and support for the four memory slots provided as HP are known to set odd sizes of memory configuration such as 6Gb of physical memory as a maximum fitted to there motherboards Naxster so I would check this as a matter of course.

Firstly is it "dangerous" for me to run 8GB RAM since i got that message when i booted my computer?
I will soon look in the BIOS for that option

Is it okay if the DRAM Frequency is 665.1? Sometimes it will be 665.6...

665 means the ram is running at 1333mhz (DDR = double data rate).

If it works and its stable and its not crashing you are fine you're not going to break anything.

So i shouldn't mess around in BIOS?
Also do you think it will be best if i test the RAM using Memtest86?

Yes test it, not gonna hurt anything and will give you peace of mind.

Don't mess around in the BIOS there is nothing to gain.
