165 hz on Asus PG278QR

Hi,
I have the Asus PG278QR and for some time it worked fine but up until lately the resolution keeps changing by itself and refuses to stay on 1440p and wants to be on 1080p and stays on 60hz as apposed to anything above 60hz. This only ever happens when the monitor is OCd to 165 hz which is whenever I play CSGO.
Is this a bug? How can I resolve this?

My hardware:
CPU: Intel i7 7700K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: Nvidia Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition
MB: MSI Z270 SLI Plus
RAM: 2x16 GB (32 GB) BallistiX Sport Crucial 32 GB Kit DDR4 2400 MHZ
Monitor: Asus Swift PG278QR & BenQ XL2411Z
OS: Windows 10 on Fall Creators Update

Possibly bad DisplayPort cable.

Glenwing, no that did not fix it. It still does this with a new cable and I tried a new port as well.

Have you tried power cycling your monitor?
