I just changed from an SSD to an M.2 so my computer was completely reset. I installed my nvidia drivers and when i set it to 165Hz it locks at 60Hz. It didn't use to do this. What's weird is that 144Hz works. I'm using display port as well.

Did it definitely work at 165 Hz before?

Freesync is AMD, G-SYNC is nVidia. nVidia can use Freesync on some monitors but it usually insists on calling it G-SYNC anyway.

Check you've got the latest driver that's installed, and check within the nVidia software in case there's some kind of setting you have to enable for it to use Freesync, e.g something like this:

(I've got AMD so I'm not familiar with it)
