Hello,
Regarding the components:
GPU is an EVGA RTX 3080 10 GB
Monitor is a Gigabyte G27QC 27" (VA) 2k
I'm experiencing an issue with my monitor. It's running at only 60Hz, and games are performing quite poorly (rough animations and some stuttering). So far, I've deduced a few potential causes for the problem:
1) It turns out that my case (Phanteks P500) has a piece of metal that obstructs the full insertion of the DisplayPort cable into the GPU. In fact, I've had quite a struggle with this; it was difficult for the GPU to recognize the DisplayPort.
2) I have a second monitor connected via HDMI. Actually, it's an XP Pen 24 Artist tablet. It runs at 60Hz, and I read that in certain instances, this can disrupt the proper functioning of the main monitor due to the difference in Hz.
I've checked the Nvidia control panel, and it shows that the Hz is locked at 60Hz, without even the possibility of modifying it (the same occurs with the Windows settings). On the other hand, yesterday I disconnected the tablet and reconnected the Display Port, and the monitor started working correctly, showing 165Hz in the control panel (Although I attempted the same now, but it no longer works; it remains at 60Hz with the XP Pen disconnected). As an additional detail, Nvidia is suggesting a recommended resolution of 1920x1080, even though the monitor is 2K.
In advance, I appreciate any suggestions and possible solutions.
