I dont know whether to go for the 1660 and a ryzen 2600 or a 1660ti and a ryzen 3600. I wanted it to be as cheap as possible so I can buy other things such as a new chair and monitor and stuff. But if the extra power is worth it then I need to know if I should shell out the extra money.

Planning on playing mainly Cs. But want to play some graphic heavy single player games like shadow of the tomb raider at 1080p

The 1660ti and 3600 is a better long term investment. You could also look around for a used GTX 1070 which is slightly faster then a 1660ti.

Either way I would still buy a Ryzen 3600 over a 2600. Just buy a B450 Mobo (either make sure it specifically says updated Ryzen 3000 series support/BIOS, or has the ability to be update without an older Ryzen CPU such as the MSI Tomahawk )
