I just bought a Geforce GTX 1660 super gpu. I tried to benchmark it and see how it runs compared to the 1050ti I just replaced, Every time I run either Userbenchmark or Heaven benchmark my monitors go black and my gpu fans kick into overdrive. I have to shut down the computer manually. Windows gives me a Display driver failed to start, using microsoft basic display driver instead. I reinstalled the drivers and did a clean install on them as well. no change on the problem. If some one can offer me some insight on this that would be much appreciated

Pc Specs:
Windows 10 pro
I5-9600k @ 3.70GHz
Asus GTX 1660 Super GPU
Asus Prime Z-390-a Mobo
8GB x2 DDR4-3200
WD_Black SN750 500gb M.2 SSD
Corsair AX760 PSU

Update 1 - just reinstalled my gtx 1050ti and I can run benchmarks and no issues at all. So I suspect a faulty gpu or not enough power.

Update 2 - Took the 1660 super back and exchanged it, tried a new one and still doing the same thing as before.
My 1050ti still runs good
Power issue?

Alright @rgd1101 I think I figured out the problem but don't know what I should do next. I unplugged my pcie cord and turns out it was melted into the socket. I'm assuming it's time for a new PSU and cord
