I have an I3-10100 on a ASUS PRIME B460M-A mobo with 16 gigs of ram, a 256 nvme ssd and with a 700w power supply. I currently play with integrated graphics and on 1920x1080 on games that my igpu can carry. I want to know if getting a 3050 is better than getting the 1660 with the prices right now, and if the differences in gameplay is drastic.

Solution
You'll wnt the 3050, the advantage is to be had using the additional features the 3050 can offer, while being slightly faste, dlss can make it substantially faster in games that support it.

Extra ram and extended driver support are other pros for the 3050.

The 1660 would need to be 60 dollars cheaper for me to explore that as an option.
with a 700w power supply
700W is the advertised wattage of the PSU. What is the make and model of the unit and it's age?

You should also factor in that older GPU's will eventually get phased out in favor of latter generation technology/gear. I would get the RTX3050 unless you're getting the other two cards listed in your poll for the same price or lower. Speaking of which what sort of prices are you looking at? Different regions will have different prices.

The RTX3050 is around the 1660 Super in performance, but with some medeocre RTX functionality slapped on top. The 1660 regular is a bit slower but still a very competent card. I had a normal 1660 for awhile and was able to overclock it to around GTX1660 Super performance.

Because they are similar I would get whichever is cheapest.
