They are both pretty close in performance. The Vega has more memory, for what that is worth.

It depends on what game you're playing. For online games like CS:GO, Fortnite, League of Legends, PUBG, etc. the GTX 1660 Super would still be just fine. For AAA titles, not so much.

Fortunately, you don't have to spend all that much to get a huge improvement over the GTX 1660 Super. The RX 6600 is 35% faster on average and costs less than $200:

Like all Radeon cards not called the RX 6500 XT, it also comes bundled with that new blockbuster game, Starfield.

If you wanted to go above that, I would recommend a card with 12GB of VRAM. The RX 6700 XT has 12GB of VRAM and is also 91% faster than the GTX 1660 Super.:

Just make sure to run DDU before installing the Adrenalin Driver Package to avoid any conflicts with remnant GeForce drivers. At this time, there are no GeForce cards worth recommending because they're too expensive and too slow.
