16GB is quite enough for any gaming.

No game on the market uses 32gb of RAM. Any unused RAM will just sit idle doing nothing. As far as RAM speed is concerned, it really depends on the CPU. For Intel CPUs, the RAM speed really does not make a difference. For Ryzen CPUs it does make a difference.
