I have a Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2400 MHz C14 (CMK16GX4M1A2400C14).
My build is i7 6700, Gigabyte Z170M-D3H and a Sapphire Radeon RX 460 2GB.

Now, I have ordered another 16GB RAM, but I received a C16 kit.
I had already paid for it. It was not readily available, so I had to pay in advance.
Now, the sales person is not taking it back, although it was his fault (I had given him the model number).

From what I understand about CAS Latency, one should not mix DRAM modules with different timings. But, if one has to, what would be the safest way to do so? Can anyone please help me?

I primarily use Matlab on this machine, and my codes usually take ~20 hours to run.
My primary concern is stability.

I do not play any games!!
