So, yeah.
My 16GB M.2 Optane stick (without a serial number sticker and has ~19000 power on hours, but has 100% health, and was $7, thanks Hitexstore) is detected in only part of the BIOS.
It's an Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming.
It's not detected in the SATA controller settings part under M.2 Slot, it shows up as Empty, but it shows up in the boot menu as Intel MEMPEX________or something like that. The ____ is what I don't remember.
It shows up in Windows as the same thing, the Intel MEMPEX something-or-other.
Anyone know why?
And no, nothing is plugged into SATA ports 5 and 6.
I spent half an hour and one SATA cable making sure of that.
So is this just a 16GB optane thing or is it something wrong with my Optane/BIOS/motherboard?
Not that I care that it doesn't show up there.
It's just a bit weird.
