16gb module DDR4 in an Asus x99 Deluxe (16x2=32gb) or (16x4=64gb)

I am building an Asus x99 deluze with a 5960x.
Can i use Crucial 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM ECC DDR4 2133 (PC4-17000) Server Memory Model CT4K16G4RFD4213

I want to utilize ram that is 16bg modules so I can run 32-64gb today & have the future upgrade option to 128gb that the asus motherboard review videos I have seen infere will be possible in the future... I am not sure but i assume this would be after a new bios etc become available...

The ASUS X99 Deluxe can support 64 GB of memory,that is either 16x4GB or 8x8GB.
You can go with whichever option you want,but I don't see the point of having 64GB of RAM when 16GB is overkill for today's games and even editing.
I would personally get 4x4GB of RAM.

Don't think so, No....according to specs anyway the mobo supports up to 64GB which is generally taken as 8x8GB (so no 16GB sticks) - also it specifies Non-ECC DRAM, the DRAM you mention is server based ECC DRAM

Both, these are ECC sticks which the mobos not rated for - it specifies NON-ECC. It's also rated to 64GB total, there are or were a few that claimed they could run 128GB 8x16GB but Non-ECC 16GB sticks never really hit the market - there are/were a few
