Question 16GB of RAM in the motherboard, but Windows shows only 13.9 installed

I have 16 GB of RAM installed in my Gigabyte B450 Aorus M motherboard in the form of 2x8GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws.

However when I check the task manager and the system info, it shows I only have 13.9GB of RAM installed...

I saved a few images with the snipping tool, but I couldn't paste them into the forum, so I tried the imgur post below for reference.

Anyone know why this is?

Welcome to the forums my friend!

If you are using integrated graphics, then the iGPU will be using a chunk of the RAM as VRAM.
On top of this a small amount of RAM will be hardware/OS reserved.
