4 sticks of 8gb.. hyperx savage 1866mhz.
Is there a difference in using two or four cards?
I mainly game so I know 32gb would only really help if I was video editing
Also my motherboard supports dual channel... and whatever double dual channel is..
16GB is a good amount for gaming will keep you happy for awhile to come - what mobo and CPU (2x8GB is preferable if your combo can take it, as it's less stress on the MC (memory controller)
using 4 sticks may reduce stability and you may not be able to run it at 1866mhz. Unless they are all matched then you could introduce stability issues. Just get a matched pair, 16gb is more than enough, its even enough for hobbyist video editing. Better off to get 16gb faster, like 2133mhz+ ram for gaming than get 32gb that is slower.
Listing your motherboard would help a lot but their no reason to get over a 2X8GB set of memory.
For the speed it depends on the motherboard and processor.
