first post, if their is a person out there that could help me out on this. I have a first gen or 2nd i5 650 Clarkdale GA-P55A-UD3 1156 LGA, and I bought new Memory. Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model PV316G213C1KRD .

my pc turns on but wont load after that, also it says it handle ddr3 dual... thanks

The mobo spec - http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3439#sp says

"4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2200/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules"

So 2133 should be OK. Just enable XMP in bios to get them up to speed.
