Hello, I am trying to move my data from a 1tb hdd to a 500gb ssd. When I use samsung's data migration tool it tells me I do not have enough room to clone the drive. I have deleted all unnecessary files and scourged my hdd to maximize free space.

BUT, when I use space sniffer and spacemonger they tell me that I have 160-180 GB of "Inaccessible space" or "unscannable folders." I can view a list of the folders but I cannot tell which is taking up the space! when I right click -> property the folders in the file explorer it does not indicate that they are taking up a large amount of space.

Does anyone know what might be happening? How can I fix this and get my space back! Thank you in advance.

Follow this to see system files and see if they show up then http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/quick-tip-reveal-hidden-system-files-in-windows-explorer/

The folders look like an old Windows installation. Do you know where these came from?
