171P/172T

Pretty much set on a 172t but have the chance for a 171p actually cheaper than the 172t. Other than the 171 not being wall mountable and physically bigger are there any advantages one or the other? Specs seem the same. Not impressed with the glitz and glitter on the 171p but the price is right. Thanks

I've heard mixed things about the 172T, some say its excelent, and others say its not any good. Everyone seems to be raving about the new Hitachi though, the CML174 which has a 15ms response time and is excelent with colors (so I've read MANY times) I too was thinking about the Samsung 172, but then I started reading about the Hitachi and it seems like a much better choice.

Gosh I'm such a nerd sometimes, but then again arn't we all.

Know what you mean about the Hitachi. Was all set with the 172 but now the Hitachi sounds real good. Thanks
