Question 180 pcie power connectors wont work

I have phanteks revolt pro 850 watt gold certified psu, recently i tired 180 degree 8pin pcie power adapter.
I have strix gtx 970, It has a small led indicator below pcie connector that glows white when power is there , orange when power is inadequate, and off when not connected.

I tried 180 adapter white led shows but when i turn on the pc it won't start, checked connectors they fit perfectly.

Without the 180 adapter pc just boots fine no issues. I wonder what could be the issue ?

I might probably throw them off as they are noname brand Chinese crap!! And are not usable.

I'm not bothering much because it's already refunded and it came 4 months after. Also i will be moving to a vertical GPU mount soon for aesthetics anyway.
