Final price $1378 +$120 for allowed for keyboard/mouse + No OS (Because of possible Win7)

I figured that I would add another $120 for the keyboard/mouse. Probably going with G11 and a standard gaming mouse.

The final budget for everything is $1800 at the door, if I could get it under, fine. I have not included an OS because I think i'm going to go with the Windows 7 beta until release. The budget is for everything though, meaning that I have nothing for it yet.

Just want to make sure it all looks solid, mainly RAM, PSU, Mobo and Cooler i'm not 100% sure if these are ideal choices. I don't know when I will be overclocking, if anytime soon at all.

Now, Since you did not tell me what this computer is for, I basically decked out a really nice gaming/multi-tasking computer.

I chose the V2 and the corsairs for a good reason, well the combo was hard to beat on a $105 discount puting it together.

V2 will mostly be used for OC'ing but, it allows both sli and xfire aswell, very nice motherboard.

The XMS Corsairs are pretty pricey but, easy to overclock if you wanted, probably not needed.

Fulltower will allow more space and airflow even though those mid towers are pretty descent.


The PSU: now im not 100% sure but, i think it could run 2 gtx 285's in sli, if now a 1000hx corsair or a pc power cooling above 850w+ will do you fine.



Now for your Monitor and extra stuff:mouse keyboard.

I really like the CPU/Mobo/RAM deal, didn't see that when I was going through lists.

I know I didn't repost what the PC was used for except from the title, but its going to be a gaming PC. WoW at the moment, but defiantly looking towards future games with this pc.

The 900 case has just been a staple for the last couple PCs I built, until I put in the final order I was just kinda throwing that as a placement holder until I knew for sure what I wanted. But the coolmaster case you link looks to be an upgrade to the 900 (weird), same placement but nicer looking a little bigger.

Would going with the 285 be a better idea than going with the 280? From the benchmarks that I have looked at don't show it very high above the 280 so wondering if it worth the extra $100 price tag. I was even thinking of SLI'ing 280's if the budget allowed in the end. Thats why I would like to know if that PSU could handle both.

I would also like to hear an opinion on using Win7 until i could buy a full 7 key.

i7 920 w/dual gtx 275's in SLI

The gtx 280 is being phased out by Nvidea, and for good reasons. It's based on older architecture, it runs hot, and it's power hungry. No need to get a vid card that's on it's way out the door. Shopping at different retailers is mild inconvenience, but it does save you a substantial amount of money. This build is a good one...either gtx 275's in SLI or 4890's in Crossfire...you can't go wrong with either vid card imo. The case you have chosen isn't so great for a build with a decent size h/s and two large vid cards imo. This case down below is new to the market, and it's the hottest selling case going atm....and for good reason. Plenty of room to work with, and excellent cooling, not to mention the fans aren't over bearing.

Also if you do a google on "ewiz coupons" or "ewiz promo codes" you can take another $5 - $15 dollars off that mobo/cpu combo down below.
