1800 budget system

I need a system within 1800 dollars, i want to do 1080p maybe 4k 144 htz gaming with vr. It doesnt matter intel or ryzen as long as it fits the bill.

I got a kb and mouse, monitor i could use a recommendation on, and yea i understand you cant get 4k with 144hz, i just meant maybe 4k but ill 1080p most of the time

is it future proof? Like as in can i upgrade the cpu and gpu without swapping the mobo for current gen?

It’ll support Ryzen 3rd gen with a BIOS update most likely.

And PCIE 3 isn’t maxed out yet I believe it’ll take a long time for it to be irrelevant.
