anyway here is my build. but im torn between 2 560 ti 2gb in SLI or 580 3gb. they are pretty much the same price also if i use the 580 i would imagine i could downgrade my psu a bit

Firstly Neat lil system you got goin, love the case....I want 1 :p. Id be tempted to go the GTX580, you save space and better cooling, specially if you uses the clear window on the side of the case instead of the grill side (some 600t case come with 2 side pannels) but also leave room for a second 580 in the future. All if your just gaming on this rig, Id say the ram is a lil over kill. IMHO! I personally (im preparing to get hammered for saying this) would ditch the SSD and go 2 High speed HDD and set them in RAID0 (WD Velociraptors or even Black caviars 7500rpm), you will get way better bang for buck, more space and performace would be same if not better. Oh dont forget ull need windows 64bit to use the over 4 gig.

yeah... i was leaning towards the 16 gigs of ram mostly for photoshop/illustrator sessions. but it probably wont be necessary. ive been revising my build for an hour or so now trying to get the most bang out of the system.

i may have figured out a way to cram two gtx 570 2.5gb into my budget

-In a $1000 build, I'd use the 212 but for $1800, I'd do something better like the mugen 2 or 3 ..... The mugen 2 topped the 212 by 7C.

-16Gigs overdone for gaming. Wanna spend on RAM, get 8 GB of these. Won't see that great a change on average frame rates but I have seen min frame rates improve w/ lower CAS. For CAS 9's the Musjkin Radioactives and Corsair's are a great buy

Guru3D uses the following games in their test suite, COD-MW, Bad Company 2, Dirt 2, Far Cry 2, Metro 2033, Dawn of Discovery, Crysis Warhead. Total fps (summing fps in each game @ 1920 x 1200) for the various options in parenthesis (single card / SL or CF) are tabulated below along with their cost in dollars per frame single card - CF or SLI:

$ 205.00 560 Ti (455/792) $ 0.45 - $ 0.52
$ 220.00 560 Ti - 900 Mhz (495/862) $ 0.44 - $ 0.51
$ 335.00 570 (524/873) $ 0.64 - $ 0.77
$ 450.00 580 (616/953) $ 0.73 - $ 0.94

862 fps for $440 with the 560 900Mhz models .... 570 gets ya whopping 11 extra fps for for an extra $230. The 560 is a much more robust overclocker due to its better VR circuit. Quite a few peeps getting a bit aggressive on their over volting on the 570 have toasted them which a bit of googling will give ya the details on.

you don't need to build SLI rig for that resolution...
first... you'll spend more money on electricity bills...
second.. multi-gpu configuration often associated with micro-stuttering problem... which gives users unpleasant experience while gaming...

That board up above is meant for dual vid cards, yet you have a 750w psu that's over kill for one of those cards, yet comes up short pushing two of those cards.

BTW they say BF3 can't be played on ultra high details with a single gtx 580 @ 1920 x 1080
