1866 ram on this mobo

This motherboard supports RAM upto 1600MHz only. Any RAM above this speed will work on this mobo for sure but they will operate at 1333MHz initially. you would have to use Intel XMP profiling to increase their frequency/speed to 1600MHz.

Make sure whichever RAM you buy that it has voltage of 1.5v, CAS Latency of 9 or less at 1600MHz.
 
None that I've read of, they are supposed to simply set themselves up on chipsets that will support PnP for DRAM, which I guess many do....haven't gotten any (might to try and play with), not thrilled with the high CLs these sticks come with (both 1866 and 1600 sticks are CL10, and 1333 is CL9) which is loose when you think 1600/9 is pretty much considered entry level.
