19", 8ms LCD.. $109.95 AR... Rebate ends 8/31

I've had mine for 6 weeks and still using it as my primary monitor in a 4-monitor rig. The $100 rebate arrived last week.

The rebates have been extended to 8/31.

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE:

what is their dead pixel policy??

I didn't notice this deal until today and I just ordered a 19" cheapie for my sister yesterday from new egg

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824004016

It comes out to be about 40 bucks more than this one here that you guys have (with shipping and AR) but my main concern is dead pixels.

My sister is a baby about that kind of stuff, she wont notice much difference between the quality of the two monitors but dead pixels will def piss her off. Should i refuse shipment on my newegg order and get this one?

Please help, and thank you for your time

Samsung had a zero dead pixel policy for a while, but withdrew it. I don't know who else, if anyone, has one now.

So, unless there is a zero dead pixel policy or the dead pixels are *obviously* too many or *enough* of them in bad places, it seems companies apply their own dead pixel policy in a subjective manner. You might just have to take your chances.

Odds of getting one with zero dead pixels are pretty good, though. I've got 9 LCDs around here. Two have one dead or stuck pixel and the others have none.

well i guess i'll just stick with it then...i should have done more research before i just bought her that monitor...i hate throwing away money
