For recording and gaming is this pc a

It looks like it comes with 2 fans already (1 front, 1 rear). I would start with that, see what temps I get, and then add a fan if needed.

Too many fans going and this thing is going to sound like takeoff in a jet.

you will be able to max out any game, especially with that 1080p monitor. You should consider a higher resolution monitor since that GTX 980 can easily take it.

Why would you get even 2 GTX 970 and use only 1080p? At 1080p a single GTX 970 already is enough.
