Im so confused about monitor displays.

Im planning to buy 20 inches monitor the ASUS VS207DE it has 1600x900 resolution
Now can i use 1080p on games?
20 inches monitor is my only choice because my budget is too tight.

Solution
No. The answer is NO, get a 1080p monitor if you want to game at 1080p.

AOC M2060Swd is a 1080p monitor so YES it will be fine, 1600x900 (Asus VS207D) is NOT 1080p and will not be fine

yes you can run 1080p on that monitor, but because its 1600 x 900 it will look bad

you want a 1920 x 1080 monitor for true 1080p

Nvidia has something called Dynamic Super Resolution. It will allow you to run 1080p on your monitor. It will take the 1080p image and downscale it to 1600 x 900p. It does look a bit better. But the end result is pretty much the same as anti aliasing.

so the way it works is your monitor has 1600 pixels across and 900 pixels up meaning its 900p a 1080p monitor has 1920 pixels across and 1080 pixels up meaning it has more pixels. now what nvidia's dynamic super resolusion does is scale the 1080p images down to 900p so it looks more properly scaled but still not a true 1080p of 1080x1920 pixels because no matter what the monitor cant do that
so yes you can play games that are meant for 1080p on that monitor scaled down to 900p but you no matter what can not get a true 1080p

this monitor is a true 1080p monitor that will allow you to play games at a full true 1080p

Ok I think you need to go back and rephrase the question.

Can I play 1080p games on my 1600x900 monitor?
Yes you can. PC games don't really have a set resolution and can be set to run at whatever the display can handle. You can use DSR from NVidia to run a game at 1080p but it won't look the same as it would on a 1080p monitor

Can I run a 1080P resolution on my 1600x900 monitor.
No. If you could they wouldn't bother to make 1080p monitors.
