1920x1200 vs 1080p?

Which one is better for gaming?
I dont use my pc for office work or movies, It is used exclusively for gaming.

For videos, yes.

1920x1200 is arguably better for games, as its slightly higher resolution.

Maybe it depends to a degree on the type of games you play. I like the extra vertical height of 1200 displays.
1080 feels too restricted, like those helmets one sees in scifi movies with silly narrow viewing slits in them.

One other advantage of a 1200 display: one can show a full 1080 image and still have space for something
else, such as the taskbar, app menu, etc. And when you do use the system for looking at web sites, the
extra height really makes a difference.

People will argue to the end of time about TN vs. IPS, viewing angles vs. refresh, etc., but I wanted visual
quality so I bought a 24" IPS display, couldn't be happier.

I mostly play FPS games and RPGs like Oblivion.

PS. I bought a 27" 1440 display later for other work, but if I was doing it again today, I'll probably get
a 27" 1440 for gaming aswell, assuming one's system has the GPU power to handle it.
