Question 1920x1440 at 144hz

i have asus vg24vq monitor i want to use 1920x1440 resolution but when i create this custom resolution in nvidia control panel
i apply it but it doesn't work it doesnt apply it reverts back to 1920x1080.
i have gtx 1660 super and using display port caple.
and when trying to apply the resolution from display settings it tells me windows couldnt change your display to this resolution.

How exactly do you imagine to use 1920x1440 resolution on a 1920x1080 screen?

If you had 2560x1440 screen, then you could use custom resolution like 1920x1440.
But your current monitor simply doesn't support it.
