I have a Belkin N150 F9K1001V4 that says it wants 9volts of power. I dont have a power supply for it but I do have one that fits that has plenty of amperage but 19volts. Im guessing that would kill the router, right?
Yes, a 19V supply will likely damage a device designed for 9V.
If not using the original adapter, also make sure that it matches the requirements for DC or AC and the polarity of the connector.
An electronics store should sell plug packs with replaceable connectors and adjustable voltage.

Hi do not use power supply or power adapter that have a higher voltage output. Like your Belkin N150, the voltage input required is only 9 volts, then you wanted to use the 19 volts this will cause to blown the fuse, probably will shortage also the semiconductors and the filter capacitors inside. Because this parts required only the specific voltage. And your Belkin could be not use again.
