1gb 800mhz or 2x512 667 in dual channel which one of these should i buy. i won't be overclocking

Why not buy 2x 512MB 800Mhz?

You have to overclock in any case, because the FSB will have to match the RAM speed.

And are u sure u dont need 2GB?

I'd go 800 as it will be the new base very soon with the newest motherboards coming out, 667 will be a forgotten speed very soon.

if thats sadly true then i feel so behind, i will just Imagen that its 2004

Are you sure about that? Won't his divider just automatically adjust to not 1:1. I am pretty sure that's what mine does. I ran 800 for a while with a 1066 fsb and it did not overclock my rig. It just ran out of sync, which is not that big of a deal, but it is best to run 1:1.

Track is right though about 2x512 @800. I can't believe there is that much of a difference in price and reguardless of what becomes the norm for mobos 800 will be nice to have.

well do i need 800 mhz. if i have 667 in dual channel. it's the same thing
