1gb PC100 SDRAM or 256mb PC800 RDRAM

Well i have 4 sticks of Micron 256mb ECC PC100 SDRAM. Or should i just buy 2 sticks of 128mb PC800 RDRAM. Im using the ram for a P4 northwood when it comes out.

P4 2.0ghz+i845+1gb pc100+Radeon2= Dream :cool: Team =palomino 1.5ghz+256mb pc2100+Magik1+radeon 32mb

You'll need RDRAM for the P4. Don't bother with the SDRAM chipset unless you're looking for a cheap system instead of a well performing system.

Pentium 4 only accepts RDRAM. Either buy a P4 and RDRAM, or a different CPU and stay with your memory.

well to set this right p-4 will use sdram and ddr aside from rdram who ever said p-4 only uses rdram is mistaken yeah maybe now it dose but he clearly said when the new chipset comes out so wtf are you thinking. anyways i think it is safe to say p-4 was built with rdram in mind im not sure what impact that would have on the ddr verson but a sdram verson will just suck. if the p-4 wasnt poorly designed it will be able to take advantege of ddr so wait before you buy the ram untill you know what its going to support for all you know it could support dual channel 4x ddr ram. giving the same bandwidth as rdram with out the lag and high cost.
