1ms 60hz vs 5ms 144hz response time

Hi. I currently have a benq 60hz 1ms and i am looking to upgrade and I was curious is it better to have a 5ms with 144hz for games like csgo? I am looking to get the LG 34" 34UC79G

Trust me, go with the 144hz one. It's much better for gaming.

Since csgo is a not so 'heavy' game, any GPU released in or after 2016 will easily give 60 or above frames per second, so any monitor having refresh rate higher than 60hz will be capable of rendering all those extra frames which would otherwise be wasted on a 60hz monitor limited to 60 frames capability. Resonse time is just effective usage of refresh rate and so this comes second to the latter in significance. i.e it would matter on monitors having same refresh rates. So 144hz is the one you should go with.
