You do get access, if you right click on the game and "view cd key" it shows you the duke nukem first access club key, enter it at the website and you'll get some "cool" backgrounds and crap like that.

As long as you bought the GOTY edition or the DLC's for Borderlands. But you have to register if you have a CD key for DNF.
