Hi, I'm planning on building my first rig and I'd just like an experienced persons opinion as to whether the following components are compatible. I'd also appreciate any suggestions for different components that may suit my project better. Also, please let me know if there's anything i've missed.

I apologize in advance if this thread is in breech of any rules, If it's in the wrong place, or If I'm frustratingly nooby.

Here's a link to my newegg wishlist:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=14821249

And a link to the PSU: http://www.megabuy.com.au/corsair-new500w-corsair-cx-500v2-atx-power-supply-80-plus-120mm-fan-2x-pci-e-5x-sata-4x-p266584.html

Approximate Purchase Date: Before the end of July

Budget Range: $1200 ish

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly gaming, also Blu-Ray movies and general internet browsing

Country: Australia

Overclocking:No

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, but not at the moment

Additional Comments: I won't actually be buying from newegg, as I live in Australia. Obviously I would like the quietest computer possible but I don't really care about that. I am yet to decide on a monitor, keyboard or mouse.

If that is all you are using it for, I would same some money on the processor and get an i5

such as for overclocking
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504
or save a few more and get
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116505

And I would invest in a better PSU, that is one area you really do not want to skim on. Such as
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010&Tpk=hx750

But look for similar products. your products will thank you later.

Otherwise it looks good
