1st build components compatibility

Hello,
I am completely newrong to building pc. This is 1st one and I was wondering if the parts will go together or if they're overkill or not. Any recommendations is really appreciated. Keep in my mind I did a little research but I'm far from knowing much about this.
Mobo- msi Intel 297 lga 1150 ddr3 atx z97
Cpu- Intel i5 4590
Gpu- evga gtx 1060 6 gb
Ram- ballistix sport 8 gb kit
Hard drive- 1tb sata 6 gb 7200 rpm 64 mb cache
Cpu cooler- cooler Master hyper 212 Evo
I'm gonna get power supply soon. And the purpose is mostly gaming and streaming. Oh and the tower I didn't put here I didn't think it matter much.

yes it is. If you had more money, i would have suggested you get the rx 480 8gb model because it is better with dx12 games. On the sidnote, do you live by microcenter?

If you have a microcenter close by, the i5 6500 would be cheaper. I recommend the 6GB GTX1060 in that case.


But yes the 3GB 1060 would still be great.

So I'd need to change the power supply too then? Will the gtx 1060 get its full potential with the i5? Cus i wanted the build to last me at least a few years or more...
