I second SLS's build.
However seeing as the MX300 is the same speed in Sata as in M.2 i would not waste a PCIe lane for the M.2

^ that MSI x370 got 2 m.2 slots and 3 pcie x16 ports, so i though its ok.

I would prefer to use a fan for the CPU Cooling, but I'm not sure what one to pick due to me being unfamiliar with the RYZEN series. Got any sugestions?

the cryorig r1 is a good choice. but y though? the kraken is a really good one. and it adds aesthetic effect to ur build with RGB lightning.

How would I resolve this issue? What mounting adapter will I need?

The CRYORIG R1 Ultimate 76.0 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX AM4 Motherboard.

the cooler which ships now will include the bracket. just check weather u r buying the latest stock. or else the mounting brackets shouldnt cost more than 10
