So i'm fairly new to all of this, but i'm looking into buying my 1st gaming computer. I did a lot of research and don't have all of the material to build one from scratch. So therefore im going to go with a prebuilt PC. And i came across this PC.

Dell OptiPlex 3020MT
Processor: Intel Core i3-4150 - 3M Cache, 3.50 GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM (Ram is not a big deal for me because i can always add more)
Hard drive: 500GB
Graphics: Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600
Power Supply Unit: Standard 290W PSU Active PFC, ENERGY STAR compliant, Active PFC

Do yous think this will be a good pick. Any advice would be great, and thx in advance.

Solution
Prebuilt pc is always a bad idea. Vednors usually scoop up the worst crap they can find and toss it on the market as a bundle. My old PC was as good as this and is now probably worth half as much.
no man not good it has intel hd graphics which is not good

you can try adding these graphics cards below -- (like ram you can always add them)

gtx 750 ti ( cheap with good performance)

gtx 660

radeon r9 280 x ( this is a good one)

gtx 960 (the latest mid ranged priced card)

gtx 970 (totally awesome)

r9 290x ( BREATHTAKING )

gtx 980 ( latest and most expensive of the all but good performance)

otherwise no problem

you just need a good graphics card

best of luck :)

Ok so going with this build wouldn't be a good choice ...... So can any1 help me out with a cheap pc build (budget 400$) ..... Just need a recommenced motherboard, CPU, graphics card, and power supply. I can handle the rest. like i said i'm an beginner so please bare with me. Thanks

This build is good for entry-level PC gaming with room for future upgrades, such as an i5-4690k CPU and a better video card. The build does not include Windows, so you'll need to add about $90 to the build for Windows. You could also go free and install Ubuntu or Steam OS instead of Windows.

This build is a good entry level gaming system and should be able to play most games on medium settings but if you want to play games on higher settings then you need to be looking around the Gtx960 range or above. In the case of AMD then the R9 280x (which is a stunning card for the money)

I want to thank everyone for there advice ...... Alot of helpful information here. But i came to the concussion that 400$ will not get me the build that i'm looking for and so i have decided to move my budget up to 800$.

I already have a processor (I5-4590=200$) and graphics card (AMD Radeon R9 270X=200$) in mind, just need help with the rest of the hardware like (Motherboard, Power Supply).

Thx everyone

Motherboard wise go Gigabyte z97 and power wise go corsair 600W. Best of luck!

I guess I'm probably late but if you're looking for a PC for gaming the dell 3020 is not for you. it's an expensive business machine. although I've tried battlefield 4 and NFS rivals at stock speed it's pretty decent but not good. You can get a good entry/mid gaming pc at the same price if you built it yourself.
