1st gaming PC build. Need help

Hey everyone,

I would like to build a white themed gaming PC capable of running AAA games at 1080p and 60 fps with a budget of 850. I need help choosing a PSU and was wondering if the components chosen are ideal for what I want. I would also like the build to last a couple years before I have to start upgrading components.Thanks in advance

This is about as good as you are going to get sticking to the parts you outlined, which I assume are due to the color scheme, and still fit within the budget. If you can add about ten bucks to the budget then the Seasonic Focus series Gold 450w unit would be a much better choice.

Those are ok, better than a lot of units out there, but they are also old group regulated designs. Not even comparable to the DC-DC platforms used on virtually ALL modern power supply platforms released in the last few years. I would not go to one of the group regulated designs unless there was absolutely no chance that the budget would allow for anything else.


Too much potential for issues with crossloading or on Intel systems, issues with the power states. Since this is an AMD build, there is not as much potential, if any, for problems with the low power states but the Ryzen CPUs DO use the C6 state to some degree, so theoretically it could be an issue and besides all that those older units simply don't have as good of an underlying platform, and not nearly as good of protection and cooling schemes as practically anything else sold by the major manufacturers for the last two or three years.

Ok if necessary, but as a last resort.

Gaming would be better with intel..
Same rig, but intel and with more system memory at lower price.
