1st Gen vs 2nd Gen Ryzen

Would there be a significant difference between the 2, if i only do the following ;
- day to day gaming (just to pass the time, 1080p at minimum on a 23-24" monitor)
- sometimes, i want to do some video processing / image processing (depends on my mood)
- just want to save some cash for other parts (i.e video card)

Basically fast and smooth enough to do the above.

Please also note that i do not do any overclocking. i also plan to have a 16gb 2400mhz (dual) memory kit.

The reason i am opting to have 1st gen ryzen is its prices and the price of a b350 motherboard (cheaper than b450).

Any inputs from those who have used both 1st and 2nd gen ryzen cpus?

I would look for a budget 450 motherboard. I just picked up an MSI B450-A Pro for $75 and will be sending in for a $15 mail-in rebate. It's worth it even at $75 based on reviews.
