I recently built my 1st pc and it was working fine for the first few days. When I booted it up last night I got an error message: "USB Device over current status detected!! System will shut down after 15 seconds." I have been taking out parts to try to find the problem but the message still pops up every time I boot. I am starting to think it might be the motherboard as it's the only thing I haven't been able to unplug. if anyone has any other ideas it would be much appreciated.

sound like a short.
Did you use standoff on the motherboard to case?
check to see if the case is touching the motherboard?
Yeah the standoffs were already in the case. I checked and it didn't seem like it was touching. So I replaced the motherboard with a new one. It works now but I can't get over why that happened in the first place. I must have done something wrong but I'm such a noob I wouldn't even know it. I really hope this doesnt happen again.
