I'm a hardcore pc user and Ive got alot experience with tweaking windows. For the past 4 years ive been using a Gateway MT3705 Laptop with 1gig of ram and a Ati 200m graphics card. Its a good 7-8 years old. It was my baby for a long time., but im in college now, have a job, and want something much better. Ive wanted to do this for awhile. I managed to, with a few mods, keep her alive. But its time to let her rest, permanently. I cant really do much with it anymore. After doing some research i came up with a decent build under $400:
1. CPU: Intel i5-750 quadcore $94 (purchased)

I dont want a massive computer tower, and I intend to use this Pc for aplications and some gaming. I play my xbox mostly, but there are some computer games that id like to play: EVE online, Arma 2 and the like. And in general i like the freedom of pc gaming, but i never really got to enjoy it. I know the 6570 isnt the best, but its good for my needs. Ive seen youtube videos with the 6570 and i like what i saw. Games like BF3 and even crysis were played with a mix of medium to high settings. those guys had less ram and older cpu's. I need some help with building this rig. I want to make sure ive got compatible parts.
