Hello I'm making a PC and I'm on a budget of $1000NZD but would prefer it to be lower. This is what i got so far. https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/3Xh4Yr. I don't have a cpu cooler yet suggestions would be awesome. I would like my PC to be able to run Forza Horizon 3 at a playable frame rate.

NZ here too. Yup I just use the standard fan too. Altho I dont game on this. Thats what the Xbox is for

One thing I've never done is add new paste when I assemble whatever. I just chuck the CPU on, and it's been fine

Altho with this one there's 5 led fans in the case lol (the fans came with the case) - The Segotep Polar MATX case.

The mobo has 3 fan headers. All I did was buy 2 splitters connect the back fan to its own header. And the CPU and a top fan share a header and the other top fan and the front share the other

And instead of using a standard PSU, I decided to get a modular. Less mess. There's only 3 cables connected to it, the SATA power, the ATX12v and the 24 pin

I like it because the PSU is underneath. You cant actually...
so far its good for the price the standard intel coolers are good for what they are i run standard i make up for it with extra case fans pumping cool air around which negates the fancy cooler which doesn't infact run much cooler. I live in nz & have built 2 haswells now for my step sons set ups i find go buy a tube of decent cpu paste add 2 extra case fans to sacrifice the fancy cpu cooler set up but makes up for it in extra case cooling saved me $100 nz but gained using cpu monitoring software both set ups running cooler than i expected the cpu's barely get warm under full load on stock cpu fan & extra case fans

I like it because the PSU is underneath. You cant actually see it, and it has a side window. Only thing the case doesnt have are bays at the front. Not too worried about it. I can either download it online or copy between pc's on the network at home

If I need a dvd, I'll buy an external one
