Hello. First build for me. I am not a gamer (probably only GTA5) and will only be doing very light photo editing, and very light video editing. The parts I have listed below come to $475/USD. I would like to stay in that area but am able to spend a bit more if there will be appreciable gains. I also know I'll be spending a bit more than the $475 on things like an internal card reader, possible more USB ports, etc. I'll also need a monitor.

1. With the MSI mobo, I found a deal that it is new and comes with a "free" unnamed 240gb sata III ssd and an unnamed 550w power supply. My primary storage will be the NVMe listed below. I'll probably add the 240gb ssd for photos and documents. The power supply I won't use as I have no info on what it is and have one chosen below.

2. I like the Ryzen 5600g as it has an integrated gpu. For my uses for this pc, I am thinking I'll be okay not having a dedicated gpu. If it doesn't work out that way, I can add a gpu down the road, yeah?

3. The power consumption was calculated at about 325w with a dedicated gpu, which I won't initially be using. All of the sockets, form factors, etc. seem to match up. Do you see any conflicts or things I can change with little or no cost increase to make things better?

4. Anything I'm missing anything?

Thank you all.

- Ryzen 5600g $140 Amazon

-PRO B550M-VC WIFI mobo $120 Msi

- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) $40 Amazon

- Crucial P5 Plus 1TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD Internal Gaming SSD with Heatsink, Compatible with Playstation 5(PS5) - up to 6600MB/s - CT1000P5PSSD5 $60 Amazon

- MSI MAG A550BN 550 W ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply $60 newegg

- Fractal Design Focus G Gunmetal Gray ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $55

I think the cpu only supports pcie3.

Lucky and Bob, thank you.

Bob, I was initially looking at the straight up 5600 which has PCIe 4.0. I saw the G version and did not look at the specs figuring it was also 4.0. Huge lesson learned.

Lucky, I'll take a look at that build when I get home tonight, thanks.

Lucky, so this build is prioritizing/upgrading the gpu and psu while downgrading the cpu. This I assume would be so I only have to upgrade the cpu to make it a badder butt system?

The Ryzen 5600 is a better cpu than the 4500. For the system I would be building first, would it not be better to upgrade the psu now, go with a lower end gpu. That way I'll have a better cpu now and I'd only need to upgrade the gpu if needed down the road.

Again, I appreciate your help.

When not gpu Limited, you can be sure that the 4500 will give you 60+fps in even the latest aaa games. Most games you will have 80+fps. So the 4500 is still a viable choice.

The A750 is a decent 1080p card. The cheaper options don't give as much bang for buck as the a750.

The cpu and gpu pairing is very balanced for a low budget system if you ask me.

You can always check ebay for used 3060.

I've been pondering and reading a bunch of other posts here. I thinking I'm going to hold off a bit on this build and save up some more cash so I can get a beefier system.

When I come up with plan b, I look forward to your input @Lucky_SLS
