friend is doing it for me and telling me to get this,

Asus maximus IV extreme,

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Maximus-IV-Extreme-Motherboards/dp/B005584ZEO/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

However I went to a local place called micro center and was told to get the V. only thing I see different is the chip set from P67 to Z77, they said it will work and i'm wondering why I don't get that one? Problem is I cant find them new except the IV?

looking to incorporate,

Two SSD - bought two 256 GB crucial cards (told me two were better than one to Raid?)
liquid cooling
1500 watt power supply
corsair 750D case
16GB or more memory - whatever is the best
two Geforce GTX790 graphics cards to SLI - maybe less

If there is anything better to buy Ill do it, I just want to make a somewhat future proof system budget is 2000-2500, thing is I got this processor a while back for next to nothing through a retail edge loyalty program, so I want to work around it.

Solution
Here is a list of high-end components that will work with that old CPU. The 3-way SLI requirement really jacks up the price of the motherboard.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77 WS ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($436.53 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($55.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB DirectCU II Video Card (2-Way SLI) ($599.69 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus GeForce...
There are much cheaper boards that will perform exactly the same. Honestly half the price of that would be fine. Also raid for SSDs doesn't really make a difference in anything other than benchmarks. You also don't need a 1500w psu for two 780ti's.

What parts do you have and what do you need besides the motherboard?

Thanks for the reply, basically I want to get a great gaming/performance machine and no worries later. This is all him telling me what to get and his PC is like 5 years old and is still running top end games on 3 monitors, so I've only got,

Approximate Purchase Date: Once I get the MOBO, than today!
Budget Range: $2000-$2500
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Home Theatre (2 HDMI) 7.1 SS + 80"4K
Are you buying a monitor: Possibly a 4K 32"
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Location: City, State/Region, Country - Philadelphia, PA
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Yes SLI - 2 but possibly more later
Your Monitor Resolution: Looking to buy a 32" 4k and run to a 80" 4K TV/Home Theatre

Parts I have - I7 2700K, LGA 1155 processor, and two 256GB Solid state drives
Wants - Liquid cooling (told to get Corsair 100 series) and Corsair 750D case unless a better option.

Thanks that's seems great so last thing is why is that board better than the ASUS maximus extremeIV or V? If I never add more than two SLI should I got with something else as two 780 cards might be overkill anyhow? Thanks again

It's not better then the Maximus Extreme IV or V. The site I was using to select components didn't show the Maximus Extreme V and I would go with the newest chipset available (Z77). The motherboard listed uses the Z77 chipset and supports up to 4-way SLI.

Only requiring 2-way SLI opens up a few more Z77 chipset motherboard options. Here are a few to consider.

Asus P8Z77-V

Asus P8Z77-V LK

Asus Sabertooth Z77

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
